Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know that renowned jazz guitarist Jerry Hahn will appear in
concert Sunday, May 31 at 3:00PM in the Moss Performing Arts Center Robinson
Theatre at Mesa State College.

Hahn first made his mark in the 1960s as a major contributor to the jazz fusion
movement, and he has performed alongside some of the biggest names in jazz,
including the John Handy Quintet, the Gary Burton Quartet with Roy Haynes and
Steve Swallow, and his own groups: the Jerry Hahn Quintet and the Jerry Hahn
Brotherhood. Hahn has also served on the faculties of Wichita State University
and Portland State University.

The concert, which kicks off the International Guitar Festival at Mesa State
College, will feature Hahn in a jazz trio backed by Ken Walker, Instructor of
Jazz Bass at the University of Denver, and Darin Kamstra, Director of Jazz
Studies and Percussion at Mesa State College. Hahn’s appearance is sponsored
by the Foundation for Western Culture and Policy, and all proceeds from tickets
sales will benefit music scholarships and the Jazz Studies Program at Mesa State
College. Tickets may be purchased at the door, at Hart Music, or from members of
the MSC Jazz Ensemble. Tickets are $10 adults, $8 seniors, and $5 students.

Thanks!
Darin
